Summary Results of the September 2016 Survey Conducted by: Friends of Pleasanton Senior Center July 19 – August 12, 2016
First of all, we wish to thank all of you who participated in our 2016 Survey. We had 357 respondents. The Friends of Pleasanton Senior Center understands that we’ve acquired very valuable and useful information from this survey. We appreciate your input, we will use these results as our “Guideline” to determine budget choices for the upcoming year and in the years to follow. Answers to the 8 survey questions are as follows:
68% of folks come to the Senior Center at least once a week if not more.
The top 3 activities you currently participate in were Bingo (26%), Slow/Fast paced exercise (23%) and Travel (20%).
The top 3 activities you are likely to participate in were Lunch at the Sage Café (64%), Dancing and Exercise (61%) and Plays and Movies (47%).
The top 3 most important programs to you were Lunch (54%), Health and Nutrition Education (39%) and Computer Education (38%).
133 of you said you would use a shaded patio area or larger coffee area.
A lack of time (60%) and being not comfortable attending alone (23%) were the top two challenges preventing you from attending Senior Center activities.
The top 3 areas of need were Exercise/Fitness (75%), Social Interaction (71%) and Nutrition/Food (68%).
55% of the respondents were female and 25% were male. 67% of the respondents were over the age of 70.
